Elaboration of materials, which are able to switch between diamagnetic and paramagnetic states due to spin crossover phenomenon, design and synthesis of novel heterometallic clusters of 3d and 4f metals showing "molecule magnet" behaviour as well as obtaining of high-temperature superconducting materials are envisaged. Synthetic routes towards single and polycrystalline iron(II) complexes with spin transition and a series of compounds with unique magnetic properties based on heterometallic 15-metallacrown-5 building blocks and various anionic linkers were established. For the elaboration of novel inorganic luminophores, search for general trends of formation of new oxide compounds that are promising matrixes for the activation with REE, structure and spectral properties studies are envisaged.
