Aim of work - study of the influence of hydro- and thermodynamic parameters of the granulation process (including encapsulation and modification) on the quality of granular products, the development of a science-based method for calculating of granulation and drying devices with active hydrodynamic regimes. Research methods. The physical modeling is based on the methods of similarity theory. Adequacy received settlement dependencies due to the use the mathematical models are based on the general provisions of hydrodynamics and kinetics of drying, comparing the calculated and experimental data. A theoretical description and programmed realization of the calculation of the hydrodynamic conditions of the flow of motion and the kinetics of temperature and mass change of the granule in vortex granulators was carried out firstly. A model for determining the residence time of granules in the working space of a vortex granulator in conditions of changes in its mass and compressed motion is proposed. A criterion equation which allows to determine the mass transfer characteristics of the process of removal of moisture from the granule during granulation in the vortex gas flow is obtained.
