Chitosan oxalate bandages do not meet the requirements for medical devices. The type of solvent and the molecular weight of the chitosan did not affect the structural features of the bandage surface. Blood-clotting test has shown an effective sorption of fluid and influence on hemostasis parameters of lactate and chitosan acetate. The results reveal the mechanism and features of hemostatic action of porous chitosan materials on the basis of various solvents. The results will be used to create a technology for obtaining hemostatic medical materials.
