Establishment of regularities of formation of valuable economic features of winter triticale and on this basis creation of a new source material and a variety with increased adaptive properties, high grain yield and good technological and baking quality. Research methods. Creation of the source material by methods of intraspecific, interspecific and intergeneric hybridization. Proccesin of breeding material according to the complete scheme of selection process. Main results of research. In the hybrid and breeding nurseries, a valuable source material was selected for the bread-making varieties. 199 varietys of specimens were studied. Selected specimens of winter wheat, winter rye and wild kinds of wheat with high content of gluten in grain (20.0-29.0%).
