The purpose of the research is to improve the existing methods of buckwheat breeding on the basis of breeding and genetic studies with the use of new initial material. Using these methods, it is envisaged to create high-yield resistant to stress conditions of buckwheat varieties of different maturity groups. Methods of research were field, laboratory and mathematical-statistical. Research results - valuable source material that will be used in breeding and genetic studies of buckwheat when creating new high-yielding varieties is obtained. In the nursery of the previous variety testing in 2016, the populations of p-10/14, p-9/14, p-14/14, p-7/14 and polysynthetics Sin-3/14 and Sin-5/14 were surpassed the standard varieties. In the breeding ground for competitive variety testing in 2016, the excess of national standards for yielding parameters showed varietal populations p-1/15, p-3/15, p-8/13, p-2/12, p-6/15, p- 10/13, p-18/10 and the polysynthetic variety Sin-1/10.
