The purpose of the research – investigate the features of the genetic control of the traits (evolutionary mutations) of determinant plant type, dwarfism, truncated highly laced central stem, self-compatibility, green fluorescence, and to develop recommendations in breeding practices using genotypes with these traits. Methods of research were field, laboratory and mathematical-statistical. Research results – obtained the genetic sources of experimental traits that will be used in breeding and genetic researches for use in breeding work of buckwheat for the developing of new high-yielding buckwheat varieties. Were detected mutations of three types of plant determinant growing, three types of green-color flowers, short-stemming plants, red-flower, plants with shortened central stem, fasciation of stem, aphyllous plants, self-incompatibility, constituting the genetic diversity of the buckwheat traits.
