The recombinant strains carrying the additional gene PGUG_05894.1 possessed in 2-6 times increased riboflavin excretory activity than recipient strains. The obtained results indicate that the gene PGUG_05894.codnig for transporter involved in the excretion of riboflavin in P. guilliermondii. It has been established that the deletion of this gene does not alter the phenotype P. guilliermondii R93, which has the ability to accumulate riboflavin. The introduction of the cloned native PGUG_04776.1 gene into R93 strain cells did not affect on riboflavin excretion. The method of positive selection of strains with altered ability to absorb riboflavin with roseoflavin, developed by tus early, was adapted to obtaine strains with a modulated level of excretion of this vitamin. Recombinant strains with increased riboflavin excretion were obtained. Their flavinogenic activity was investigated. A yeast integrative plasmid containing the D. hansenii gene PGUG_05894.1 encoding a transporter involved in riboflavin excretion was constructed under the control of the TEF1 promoter of this yeast species.
