The necessity of changes in the technology of blast-furnace smelting and organization of agglomeration production is shown in order to minimize the negative consequences caused by significant expansion of the raw material base of the sinter-blast furnace complex, especially due to non-traditional types of raw materials for Ukraine, and the instability of its composition and properties. Particular attention is paid to improving the efficiency of using secondary resources, changing the raw material and fuel parameters of the blast furnace process by injecting coal-pulverized fuel and using low-calorie raw materials with high iron content (low-slag melting).
