The object of the study is the processes of estimating the duration of development of ship design documentation while managing the time of projects for the development of ship design documentation. Methods of research - methods of probability theory, mathematical statistics, regression analysis, interval analysis. Today, when managing the time of projects for the development of vessel design documentation, there is the problem of increasing the confidence of estimating the duration of work. It is related to the dependence of the duration of work on the influence of random external factors, which cannot be foreseen in advance. It is established that non-linear regression models of the duration of development of vessel design documentation, built on the basis of Johnson's normalizing transformations, make it possible to increase the confidence of estimating the duration of development of ship design documentation as compared with nonlinear regression models based on the normalizing transformation in the form of a decimal logarithm. The results of the research work are implemented in the planning and time management processes in the design of ship design documentation and in the training process at Admiral Makarov NUOS.
