Subject - methods for assessing the safety of crop and livestock products and animal disease diagnostics. Purpose of the study - The aim of the project was to develop bioinformatics approaches to assess the safety of crop and livestock products and animal disease diagnosis using modern instrumental methods. Methods of investigation - Approaches of classical and structural bioinformatics and molecular genetic methods based on sequencing of encoding target proteins make it possible to identify target genes of different evolutionary origin, to study their structural-functional organization (intron-exon structure), to search for the homology of nucleotide and amino acid sequence, as well as to study the structural and biological differences of protein products. The 3-D model of translational proteins will expand the understanding of the mechanisms of their work. Based on the data obtained during the implementation of the bioinformatics and experimental study, a test system was created and an algorithm was developed that would produce the best results. The methodological approach to diagnostics, proposed by the authors of the project, using the principles of bioinformatics and biosensors is much cheaper than the analogues and is not inferior to the classical efficiency and allows the development of an algorithm for the creation of similar test systems for other pathogens. Scope of application - The results of the research were the basis for their subsequent introduction into the practice of veterinary medicine for the express control of diseases and prevention of their distribution among animals and humans. The new results obtained can be further used to develop new diagnostic methods for various diseases. The project has been implemented at the junction of such sciences as: veterinary medicine, parasitology, immunochemistry, molecular biology and biotechnology with its important direction of biosensor, since a whole range of fundamentally new interdisciplinary tasks will be addressed.
