The purpose of the work is to increase the functional properties of steel and cast iron products by creating pulsed-plastic protective coatings of a сomposite structure. Research methods: optical and scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction; hardness and microhardness measurement; wear resistance testing; methods of mathematical statistics. The work defines the laws of modification and application of protective coatings by pulse-plasma treatment using cathodes of high-alloy Fe-C alloys. The peculiarities of the formation of the composite structure of the pulsed-plasma coatings with the combined application of heterogeneous cathodes are established. Data on the influence of the parameters of post-plasma heat treatment on the mechanism and kinetics of phase-structural transformations in pulsed-plasma coatings are obtained. The level of physical-mechanical and operational properties of pulsed-plasma coatings depending on their chemical composition, parameters and type of structural gradient is determined. The parameters of technological processes of pulse-plasma and post-plasma thermal treatment of coatings obtained with the use of cathodes made of high-alloy cast iron and steels have been developed.
