The subject of the study is ion-selective electrodes with polyvinyl chloride membranes, turned to the surface-active substance of alkyl dimethylbenzylammonium chloride. The aim of the work is to develop the optimal composition of the ion selective electrode membrane and apply it in the design of the ISE and the development of a method for quantifying this compound in a real object. The composition of the ion-selective electrode membrane containing polyvinyl chloride, dibutyl phthalate, an electrode active substance based on an anion exchanger of tetrafenilborate, namely, the ionic associate of cation of alkyl dimethylbenzylammonium chloride with anion of sodium tetraphenylborate in a stoichiometric ratio of 1: 1, with this ratio of components, in wt. %: DBF - 67-71; EAS - 6 - 8; PVC - the rest. The decision relates to analytical chemistry, electrochemistry, and can be used for the production of sensory elements of ion-selective electrodes - chemical sensors - for quantifying the concentration of ions in aqueous solutions using materials that have low cost components.
