The subject of the study is the mechanism of protecting of the state financial system. Methods of research: the use of the system-structural method allowed us to explored the mechanism of protection of the Ukraine financial system and formulated proposals for its further improvement. With the help of the formal logic method, the terminology apparatus of the studied issues was studied and improved, taking into account the needs of the modern society proposals for the creation of a single law enforcement agency in the sphere of protection of the state financial system (Financial Police) were made,. The method of observation allowed to analyzed the main shortcomings and problems of the development and functioning of the mechanism of protection of the state financial system. The practical significance of the results is that they are implemented in: - eduсational process of Sumy State University, that confirmed by an act of implementation of Мау 05, 2018; the scientific results of the project will be used directly in the study of such disciplines as "Judicial and law enforcement agencies" and "Administrative law of Ukraine"; -legislative activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the sphere of creation a single law enforcement agency in the field of protection of state financial and economic security (letter of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of legislative support of law enforcement activity No. 04-18 / 11-2233 dated 07.12.2017) the introduction of amendments to the Criminally Procedural Code of Ukraine.
