The purpose of the research is to develop technologies for obtaining advanced nanostructured multilayer coatings with improved tribological and physicomechanical properties, as well as establishing basic patterns, creating models and developing physical representations about the processes that determine the formation of the composition, structure, functional properties of multilayered nanostructural coatings. The objective of the project is to study the influence of deposition parameters, thickness and composition of the bilayers on the properties of the coatings, as well as the development of technological recommendations for the practical application of these coatings. The difficulty is that the synthesis of materials by vacuum-arc evaporation is a multifactorial process, which should also include the effect of the deposition conditions of the coatings and impurity atoms of the working atmosphere in the chamber on the structure, the stress state, the elemental and phase analysis of the growing coating. In this paper, the results of the study of multilayer coatings MoN / CrN and TiN / ZrN, scaning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy and secondary ion spectrometry are presented. It has been shown that in the multilayer coatings of MoN / CrN and TiN / ZrN systems a typical column structure with preferred orientation of crystallites with texture (111), (200) and (311) cubic? -Mo2N and CrN phases (MoN / CrN coating) and cubic TiN and ZrN phases (structures of the NaCl type) with a predominant orientation of the crystallites with an axis [111] perpendicular to the growth plane (TiN / ZrN coating) is formed.
