It was established that the loss of bee colonies in Ukraine after the winter of 2017-2018 on average was 11.3% (95% CI 10.0-12.6%). Analysis of long-term dynamics showed that maximum losses were observed after the winter of 2016-2017 (17.9%), and the minimum after the winter of 2015-2016 (9.9%). Significant differences were found in the methods and timing of treatments against Varroa in Ukraine and Austria. Bee breeds of some respondents from Chernivtsi region have been analyzed. It was established that only 19% were relatively clean lines (carnica, carpathian breed, Ukrainian steppe breed). Created within the project site is used to involve respondents in the monitoring of colony losses in Ukraine as well as to inform Ukrainian beekeepers about threats and best practices of beekeeping.
