The goal is to explore the reflection of the teaching of the Church about Salvation in the most ancient part of the Kiev-Pechersk Paterik and in the monuments of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra - the Trinity Gate Church and the Assumption Cathedral. This refers to information encoded in toponymy, time of foundation and dedication, in the architecture of these monuments. Methods - analytical - study the status of the development of the topic; Systemic - study of the oldest monuments of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in religious and culturological aspects. At the same time, the author proceeds from the assessment of Christianity, as a phenomenon primarily of spiritual culture, the introduction of which in Russia has its own ethnic specificity, due to the originality of the spiritual life of the East Slavic society. In this paper, for the first time in science, the doctrine of Salvation is considered, which contains the Kiev-Pechersk Paterik and the most ancient monuments of the Kiev-Pechersk Monastery: Trinity Gate Church and the Assumption Cathedral in the context of the conceptual idea of sanctification - deification of man, and therefore in the light of the teachings of Hesychasm. The results of the study can be used in the scientific and methodological and scientific and educational work of the reserve. They allow us to answer many controversial questions not only on the history of the early Kiev-Pechersk monastery, but also on the history of Rus-Ukraine. Therefore, the work will be useful for a wide range of specialists, and most of all - medieval scholars who study the history and culture of Kievan Rus.
