The goal of the project is to replenish and study the collection of varietal samples of lupine, of various ecological and geographical origin, for the main economically valuable traits in the conditions of the Left Bank Polesye of Ukraine, and to identify the most valuable forms for further use in the selection of lupine as sources of selection traits. Research methods - field, laboratory and methods of mathematical statistics. As a result of the research, a catalog was prepared in which the characteristics of 42 collection samples of narrow-leaved lupine from the IAMAM NAAS collection on the main economically valuable traits are given. The data of the study of collection samples for the signs of early ripeness, seed productivity, yield of green mass and resistance to diseases are given. A feature collection was created, which includes 125 samples of lupine of yellow, white, narrow-leaved and mutable species from 10 countries of the world with high optimal or low manifestation of 8 economically valuable traits. 72 sources of valuable economic traits for the selection of fodder lupine were studied and identified. Registered in the National Center for Plant Genetic Resources of Ukraine (Kharkov) 9 valuable samples of lupine. The collection of lupine is recommended for breeding research institutions, as well as educational institutions of Ukraine, as material for scientific and educational programs. Dedicated sources and donors of economically valuable traits will be used to create new varieties of lupine, which will ensure stable production of high grain yields (2-5 t / ha) and green mass (50-60 t / ha).
