The technological conditions for extraction of the investigated plant material are selected. The dependence of extraction substances yield on the extraction method (maceration, remaceration, percolation) and the optimal ones were determined. The expediency of re-extraction of plant raw materials with a water-alcohol mixture with a lower concentration of alcoholic component on the example of raw material of Origanum vulgare, Humulus lupulus та Daucus carota is proved. Study of the above-ground part of Scorzonera purpurea has been carried out. The content of extractives, polyphenols and flavonoids in various morphological parts of the plant, namely flowers, leaves, stalks and grass, has been analyzed. Methods for the determination of various types of antioxidant properties of plant extracts were developed. Antioxidant and radical of absorbent activity of alcohol-water extracts from plant raw materials with different contents of alcohol component were investigated. The extracts of Origanum vulgare, Humulus lupulus, Daucus carota, Scorzonera purpurea, Arnica montana, Gladiolus imbricatus, Hipericum perforatum, Carlina acaulis are processed. The experience of folk medicine in the treatment of respiratory diseases was analyzed. Detection of the most commonly used plants in the treatment of diseases in this group were detected. Plant raw materials were collected and alcohol-water extracts from it were obtained. The pharmaceutical market of Ukraine for the presence of phyto-medicines used in the treatment of respiratory system diseases was analyzed.
