Research methods - analysis and generalization of available information on the subject matter in question, physical experiment, mathematical modeling and computational experiment. The main results of research related to the technological use of HVEE in different discharge-pulse technologies are systematized. The main force factors of pulse loading in them and the ways of controlling them are established. It is shown that employing the HVEE under the conventional diagrams of pulse current generators is not effective enough due to incomplete combustion (less than 20%) of the used exothermic compounds (EC). The possible ways of increasing the efficiency of the electroexplosion energy conversion at HVEE are analyzed. The choice of the method based on the batch input of electric energy into the HVEE channel based on the application of controlled pulse current generators is substantiated. An experimental bench has been produced that makes it possible to carry out studies of the energy, electro- and hydrodynamic characteristics of the HVEE with a controlled by the amount of electrical energy batch input into the channel HVEE at different time intervals. The choice of exothermic composition for carrying out experimental studies and further technological application in pulse current generators based on HVEE is substantiated.
