The projected linear positioning system involves a certain geometry of the experiment. The source-object and object-detector distances were optimized to achieve the required spatial coherence level, taking into account the limiting factor for reducing the intensity of X-rays due to its absorption in the air environment. A calculation and analysis of X-ray characteristics obtained during the Compton backscattering of a pulsed laser by relativistic electrons was performed.
