Purpose - improve the mixed scheme of the finite element method for calculating the stress-strain state of composite shells, taking into account the presence of interlayer defects in technological and exploitation origins. Quantitative evaluation on this basis of the influence of bundles on the strength of responsible shell constructions at the action of exploitation loads. Research methods - finite element method, the methods of computational mathematics, modern software development technologies. On the basis of the proposed and substantiated variant of the refined theory of composite shells a new mixed scheme of the finite element method for the calculation of layered structures has been developed. The essence of the scheme is to set as the nodes unknown two-dimensional finite elements, on which decomposed the middle surface of each component, both displacements and interlayer contact stresses. This allows taking into account the emergence or presence of interlayer damages to technological or exploitation origins. The testing of the proposed scheme was carried out. The high-pressure balloon with interlayer defect between two macro-layers is considered. An estimation of his bearing capacity at different loads is made.
