The purpose of the research is to develop the scientific and methodical bases of forming and functioning of the mechanism of state support for the reconstruction of industry in Ukraine, depending on the stage of development of its sectors. Based on the generalization of world practice, a scientific and methodical approach to assessing the stages of the development of the industries and the economy as a whole has been proposed, and it has been shown that most industries are in a stage of decline or maturity, and the economy as a whole is ineffective deindustrialized, which needs state support for its reconstruction. The state support mechanism has been developed, which includes basic support tools and specialized tools. The main elements of the mechanism are the introduction of development institutes, tax incentive policies and industrial parks, aimed at intensifying innovation and investment activities. The system of criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the state support mechanism, which allows for a multidisciplinary predictive and factual assessment, is proposed. The estimation of the potential effectiveness of bills that implement certain elements of the state support mechanism is evaluated. The results of scientific research are used in the practical activities of public administration, scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Forecast proposals on perspective directions of research - scientific, technical and innovation development and competitiveness of the state, its regions and economic entities.
