The purpose of the study is to develop a scientific-methodical approach to assessing the readiness of enterprises and sectors of the Ukrainian economy to introduce biotechnologies. The place of bioeconomy in the scientific, technical and economic development of the countries of the world is determined. The classification of biotechnologies based on the matrix approach is refined. The scientific-methodical provisions for substantiation of the prospects for the implementation of biotechnologies in the Ukrainian economy are based on the analysis of the publication and patent activity of Ukraine in comparison with the countries of the world are developed. The methodical approach to the assessment of the readiness of Ukrainian industry and enterprises for the implementation of biotechnology is proposed. The main directions of biotechnologies implementation in the Ukrainian economy are grounded in their use in agriculture and food industry, to a lesser extent - in energy and medicine. The mechanism of stimulation of enterprises to implementation of biotechnologies is offered. The results of scientific research are used in the practical activities of public administration, scientific institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Forecast proposals on perspectives directions of research, scientific and technical, innovative and socio-economic development of the country and sectors of economy of Ukraine on the basis implementation of the latest biotechnologies.
