The aim of the work is to improve the mass and dimensions of high-voltage pulse capacitors for submersible devices. The methods of investigation are theoretical and experimental ones using statistical processing of experimental results. Experimental studies of the influence of the operating electric field strength on the long-term electrical strength of the proposed dielectric systems have been carried out. It is shown that an increase in the specific energy that is stored in a high-voltage pulse capacitor is possible by using a combined paper-film dielectric 60 µm thick impregnated with castor oil, with a 50% content of the polymer film. Dependences of the long-term electrical strength of the selected dielectric systems of sections of a high-voltage pulse capacitor on the magnitude of the operating electric field strength in a dielectric are obtained.
