Particular attention is paid to the study of the meaningful character of the term "international standards" of human rights, which affects their classification, which in turn determines the specific features of the implementation of these standards in the law of supportive practice; the main grounds for the classification of international human rights standards, scientific interpretations of leading domestic and foreign scientists in this field are researched; New approaches of doctrinal substantiation of universal and regional international standards are revealed; The ways of implementation of various types of international human rights standards in the national legislation of Ukraine have been worked out. The specificity of the formation of a new state policy concerning the provision, realization and protection of human rights based on the priority of international legal norms is revealed. The peculiarities of the activity of state authorities in the field of judicial and extrajudicial defense of human rights are established, the influence of this activity of the European integration processes of our state is analyzed. Based on the identification of the peculiarities of international human rights standards, ways and areas of improvement of the national legislation in the relevant field were proposed.
