The subject of the research - social nature of the language, its social functions, the influence of social factors on language and the role of language in public life. The purpose of the work is to study the influence of the originality of objective and subjective factors on the functioning of the language, taking into account the level of cultural development in Ukraine. Methods of research: The analysis of the investigated material was carried out mainly descriptively, partially comparable, comparative, statistically and using the method of component analysis. In addition, the method of com-plex analysis, the method of distributions, theoretical-critical, aesthetic, structural-semantic, cultural-historical, histor-ical-functional were used. Theoretical and practical results, their novelty: 1) the method of creating an associative verbal model of concepts of Ukrainian mentality is proposed; 2) an in-depth understanding of the peculiarities of the linguistic image of the world of Ukrainians; 3) an annual International scientific seminar "Conceptual problems of the functioning of the language in the multicultural space" (March 30, 2015, 2016, 2017, Melitopol) was held; 4) theoretical results of the research are set forth in the collections of scientific works (Language: Conscious-ness, Concept: a collection of scientific articles / edited by O.G.Komchak, Melitopol: MMPU named after B.
