Methods of spectroscopy (absorption, fluorescence excitation fluorescence synchronous scan) found that the fluorescence color and surface modified PTFE responsible ?-irradiation different optical centers and the main factor that affects the formation centers fluorescence is residual oxygen concentration. Methods of high-resolution scanning electron microscopy revealed that radiation modified PTFE samples obtained at the melting point, and the introduction of nanotubes in composite PTFE leads to a complete reorganization of PTFE, the formation of new morphological forms - spherulites size of about 50 microns, consisting of radially oriented fibrils . Irradiation at the melting point leads to a substantial decrease in porosity, linear wear intensity, allowing a composite with a high level of physical and mechanical properties. It was established that the technological optimum pair coefficient of friction/wear intensity is achieved for composites based on PTFE of 2.5% at a dose modification CNT at 0.20 MGy.
