The object of the research is a system of moral and psychological support of the personnel of the Army units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the work is to develop proposals for optimizing the existing system of moral and psychological support for the personnel of the Army units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the ATO. The methods of Research: hypothetical-deductive method, structural-functional analysis, dialectical approach and systemic method, a number of comparative methods, statistical method, prognostic method. Information and factorial basis of the research are: laws of Ukraine, decrees of the President of Ukraine, normative acts of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine; Orders of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, analytical materials of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on the issues of moral and psychological support, experience of carrying out the Antiterrorist operation in the East of Ukraine. The paper analyzes the system of moral and psychological support for the preparation and conduct of combat operations by the Army units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The proposals for optimization of the existing system of moral and psychological support for the preparation and conduct of combat operations by the Army units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are substantiated. The proposals for the draft Instruction on the procedure for organizing the moral and psychological support for the preparation and conduct of combat operations by the Army units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been developed. Proposals on changes in the normative-legal base of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of organization of moral and psychological support are given.
