The purpose of the scientific work is to assess the stress resistance of invasive species as a physiological response to new conditions of existence by assessing their biochemical parameters. During the research, a wide range of methods and techniques was used. Complex work on biochemical study of oxidative stress processes on pre-determined models (mammalian cancer (Procambarus fallax f. Virginalis Martin et al., 2010), chestnut miner (Cameraria ohridella Deschka & Dimic, 1986) and sunny perch (Lepomis gibbosus (Linnaeus, 1758))). According to the research results, the classification of invasive plant and animal species by the type of response response (stress resistance) to the influence of factors surrounding the environment has been developed; the method of estimation of adaptation possibilities of invasive species for a new environment for them is created; Actual data on the status and status of invasive species of plants and animals, their functions in the conditions of the main types of key ecosystems of the steppe zone of Ukraine are obtained; The preliminary strategy of management of populations of invasive species of plants and animals in the conditions of the steppe zone of Ukraine has been developed. Scientific results can be used by regional authorities, environmentalists, representatives of non-governmental environmental organizations as methodological recommendations for carrying out works on controlling the number of invasive species in Ukraine.
