The subject of investigation is techniques and methods of teaching Ukrainian (Russian) language for professional purposes. The object is lexical material, professionally oriented and literary texts in the light of presentation realization of foreign grammar material; lexical and phraseological material, literary, publicistic and professional oriented texts in the light of activating skills of dialoque and monoloque speech; lexical, grammar and phonetic material as a basis for improving of skills and abilities of professionally oriented speech; lexical and phraseological material, text as the sources of cultural information; basic skills of foreign students in all types of speech activity and their role in formation of self-control skills. The purpose of this investigation is improving of techniques and methods of teaching Ukrainian (Russian) language. Methods of investigation. The traditional for the Chair's work practically oriented form is used in this investigation. During working out of the applied and exploratory researches in the field of RAFL / UAFL and their teaching methods for foreigners the authors were using the new achievements of contemporary linguists in the sphere of teaching methods for foreign languages, linguoculturology, linguosemiotics, cognitive linguistics and literary studies in the light of antropocentric paradigm, inernationalization and humanization of educational space and all-European recommendations on organization of educational process. The scientific concept of this research is an integrated approach, which generates first of all communicative-active and linguoculturological parts of educational process. In this research the ways of improving of the level of language proficiency by students of preparatory department, students of the 1-4 courses, trainees, master's students and post-graduated students are defined on the basis of teaching and developing their skills and abilities in all types of speech activity, that promotes the further formation of linguistic, speech, general education, professional and cultural competence of a foreigner. According to the results of the study, the algorithm for teaching foreigners all types of speech activity was created.
