The purpose of the work is to improve the efficiency of city passenger transportation in Vinnytsia and reduce harmful emissions for the carriage of one passenger by increasing the volume of transportation by public transport using intelligent transport systems. To achieve this goal, the following tasks need to be addressed: analysis of existing research on the effectiveness of the operation of a road safety standard and determination of the main criterion for improving efficiency; analysis of research and results of ITS application in transport; refinement of the analytical model of calculating the traction-speed properties of vehicles equipped with ITS components; development of recommendations for the application of the necessary components of the ITS for buses in the city in order to increase the technical speed of the traffic police. Subject of research - methods and models of substantiation of effective technical, organizational and design decisions of local intelligent transport systems. Research methods. During the study, the following methods of scientific research were used: comparison, analysis and synthesis, generalization, systematization, system approach. The scientific novelty of the obtained results consists in the formation and implementation of local projects of intelligent transport systems for improving the operation of the route network of transport in Vinnytsia. The practical significance of the results. The results are obtained in the form of models and algorithms, as well as technical, technological and managerial decisions contributing to the theory and practice of implementing intelligent transport systems to improve the operation of the route network in Vinnytsia.
