Karazin popup.description2 The aim of the project is to establish new physical regularities of the solid-state interphase interaction in nanosized binary systems, namely, to study the evolution of an equilibrium phase diagram with a decrease in the systems characteristic size. Object of research - solid-state solubility of components in binary films, morphological and phase structure of layered films, evolution of a phase diagram. The subject of research - two-layer Au-Ni films with a mass thickness of 140 and 4 nm prepared by condensation of components from a molecular beam formed during the thermal evaporation of components from independent sources in a vacuum. The study of the structure, morphology and chemical elements distribution in binary nanosystems at the atomic level was fulfilled with the modern equipment (FEI Titan3 G2 60-300 with Cs-correction of spherical aberration and ChemiSTEMTM system) and electron microscopy methods including the in situ ones (HAADF STEM, EDX). The kinetics of solid solution formation in layered films was investigated by heating the samples directly in a translucent electron microscope (PEM-125K). As a result of the project, new quantitative data on the kinetics of formation of equilibrium solid solutions in nanosized film were obtained. Besides, the distribution of components in such solutions was investigated at the atomic scale. Experimental data on the size dependence of the components solid state mutual solubility in the Au-Ni system have been obtained. Based on these data, the solid state region of the equilibrium phase diagram for the system under study was experimentally constructed. The main results of the work were obtained for the first time. Their rele-vance is conditioned by the need of understanding the physics of processes in low-dimensional systems and the ubiquitous use of nanoscaled objects in modern technologies.
