The purpose of the project is to maintain a Chronicle of Nature of the protected ecosystems of Roztochya region and ensure their protection, and implement environmental measures to support the existence of high species biodiversity. The main tasks were the continuation of meteorological and phenological observations and the identification of links between meteorological indicators and the seasonal development of certain plants and animals species; floristic research, study of rare and endangered plant species and their habitats; monitoring of the number of background types of animals, ensuring compliance with and preservation of the reserve regime of the natural ecosystems of the reserve. Long-term monitoring studies have shown that, under the conditions of the reserve, the most stable ecosystems are beech forests that are capable of self-reproduction, the most productive and with a great variety of species - pine-oak-beech forests. The largest transformation in the last decades has been seen in the tract "Zalivki" - a meadow bog, in the floodplain of the river Vereshchytsia and its left tributary of Stavchanka. The positive influence of the conservation measures of the species composition of the fauna species and animal population was noted. As a result of the study, new knowledge on local manifestations of climate change was obtained. It has been seen that the average daily temperature has increased by 1.4° С, and over the last five years by 1.7° С, which exceeds the norm of 1.5° С, as predicted by the experts of the IPCC.
