The object of the study is the means of protecting rescuers from the effects of intense thermal radiation during the execution of operational actions for the extinguishing of fires. The subject of research is the design and parameters of individual means of thermal protection of rescuers. The most effective means of protecting rescuers in high temperatures is the use of special anti-warm clothing. The means of protection against heat damage, which today are equipped with the departments of the DSU of Ukraine, are physically and morally obsolete, do not provide reliable protection against heat damage, and also quickly fail due to high temperatures and high thermal radiation. The mentioned disadvantages considerably reduce the efficiency and safety of rescue workers in the conditions of a heating microclimate. The analysis of the conditions of work of rescuers, limit values of heat fluxes and ambient air temperatures were determined, structural features of various types of anti-thermal protection products, including reflective, heat-insulating characteristics, and application of autonomous cooling elements were analyzed. Theoretical researches have been carried out on the definition of promising methods and means of individual anti-thermal protection rescuers. The mathematical model of heat transfer in the system "the environment - heat-protective clothing - a person" is developed. According to the conducted researches there is an opportunity of application of water or a solution of a foaming agent, taken from pump-hose systems, for cooling of a body and clothes of rescuers. Taking into account the heat capacity of the water (С = 4200 Вт / K · м2), its accessibility and other advantages, it is the most convenient means for use in the cooling system of the underwear space of the rescuers. Experimental tests of the means of individual antimicrobial protection of rescuers with an increased heat-protective resource at the expense of a controlled distribution have been carried out. heat fluxes using surfaces that reflect heat. The obtained results indicate that the length of life of rescuers in clothing with a cooling system is about 5 times higher than without it. This fact is confirmed by the value of the heart rate, which is about 150 min-1. A design of the means of individual antimicrobial protection with a flow diagram of the movement of the refrigerant, which provides not only the protection of the body of the rescuer, but also the outer cover of the suit, is developed.
