It is proved that the existing method of using agricultural land resources in Ukraine is not balanced, does not contribute to sustainable development and is a source of greenhouse gas emissions in volumes up to 10% of the total emissions in the country. Therefore, the introduction of low-carbon agricultural land-holding provides an integral balance of carbon in the reservoir of mineral soils and is an urgent focus not only on the ecological and economic positions and on the implementation of the norms of national land legislation, but also on the implementation of international obligations on the way of implementing a thriving attitude to use land resources.
