The goal of the project is a comprehensive study of the controversial issues of the historical past of the peoples living in the frontiers of Ukraine and Moldova aimed at overcoming the persistent stereotypes and open falsification of the common history by establishing an intercultural dialogue against the background of the uniqueness of each of the national cultures of the Ukrainian-Moldovan border, the dissemination of non-conflict experience coexistence of different ethnic groups in the polyethnic region. During the project implementation, the planned tasks were accomplished and other types of work performed beyond the planned scope, in particular: the lucrative work in archives and libraries of Izmail, Odesa, Kiev, and Chisinau was carried out; published scientific articles; Center for Oral History at IDSU was created; The primary processing of the collected information from one of the perspective directions of the project - "Historical figures in the political and cultural life of Bessarabia" - conducted the All-Ukrainian student conference "Priority directions of the European scientific space: student's search"; international scientific and practical conference "Third Danube scientific readings: The famine of 1946-1947: historical, philosophical and psychological and pedagogical aspects", scientific readings devoted to the International Day of the Danube "Danube in the geographical, historical and cultural aspects, regional scientific and practical conference "Scientific research of the student: current problems and tendencies in the development of the humanities and socio-economic sciences"; international scientific and practical conference "The Community of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of Moldova and Ukraine". was introduced into the educational process of the Izmail State Humanitarian University and Chisinau State Pedagogical University named after I.Kryange. An active preparation on the stage, which will begin in 2018, has been initiated and underway.
