Therefore, integrating a gender component in the energy sector should anticipate the introduction of a gender-based approach to state and regional programs, plans and strategies, and the dissemination of knowledge about gender relations. The regulatory framework governing the activities of the energy sector should anticipate monitoring and evaluation of appropriate measures based on a system of gender indicators that characterize the situation in the energy sector.
