In particular, a turbine shaft modeling with a power of 200 MW was designed to study its oscillations that arise when connecting a turbogenerator to the network, and also the residual durability of the shaft line is calculated, taking into account these vibrations. In addition, vibrational methods for diagnosing damage to the turbine shaft are developed, their efficiency for different types of cracks and various types of oscillations is estimated. The research of structural materials is carried out in order to increase the durability of working bodies of cavitation apparatus. An experimental installation and a methodology for investigations of cavitation wear of structural materials have been developed. On the basis of experiments a comparative analysis of the cavitation wear resistance of polymeric and ceramic materials was conducted. On the basis of experimental and analytical research of grain milling process, a new design of a ball mill was developed.
