In order to obtain new trifluoromethyl-containing unsaturated cyclic ketones, trifluoroacetylation reactions of 4-methylene-1,3-dioxolanes were studied. New cyclic trichloro- and trifluoromethyleneones with an additional masked -hydroxymethyl group were synthesized. The reactivity of the obtained compounds in reactions with nucleophiles was investigated. Procedure for the preparation of enaminones with an additional -hydroxymethyl group in high yields has been developed. Various enaminones have been obtained; an equilibrium and relative content of Z/E isomers have been investigated depending on the polarity of the solvent. The reaction of new cyclic trifluoromethylenones with water has been investigated and the products of hydrolysis formed by intramolecular cyclization were obtained.
