For the first time a contingent of ATO participants with a disability has been determined, indicators of their needs in measures of medical and social rehabilitation are calculated depending on the type of pathology, age, severity of disability, administrative territory. The quality of the formation of individual programs of rehabilitation, the effectiveness of rehabilitation in the regions, the rehabilitation route, rehabilitation potential, peculiarities of the psycho-emotional status of servicemen and its influence on the limitation of their life activity and adaptation to society are analyzed. The study of regulatory and legal acts aimed at social assistance and protection of the combatants was performed. Propositions for improvement of medical and social rehabilitation of servicemen with disabilities are developed.
