(golden variety). The purpose of the study is to determine the cytotoxic effects of vanadium, chromium and lead on the plant cell, including their effect on the life-long organization of microtubules and actin filaments. With the help of the appropriate model objects, the influence of selected metals on root growth, cell division, morphology of chromosomes and nuclei, the organization and orientation of the cytoskeleton components of the plant cell will be investigated. The results obtained in the future will help develop new, more effective strategies for monitoring and controlling these environmental pollutants. Methods of research - anatomical, cytological, physiological, methods of scientific research and statistical analysis.During the study, it was discovered that lead ions, chromium and vanadium cause a violation of root morphogenesis in the form of initiation of growth and increase of the length of root hairs, leadening mainly cells of the differentiation zone, and also cause dying of cells of the apical meristem, transition zone and tensile zone. The inhibition of the growth of the evergreen root system of Allium cepa, the darkening of the root cap and the cell division region under the influence of all toxic metals are shown, that is, the accumulation of phenolic compounds indicating the extinction of this part of the root. The basis of the described decrease in the growth of the roots in Allium cepa is the reduction of the mitotic index due to the decrease in the number of cells in the metaphase, anaphase, and telophase phases, indicating significant cytotoxicity of these metals, as well as numerous chromosome aberrations among which the most prevalent were c-mitoses, diagonal division, lagging behind the chromosomes and the presence of a micro nucleode. It has been shown that Pb2 +, V4 + and Sr2 + cause time and dose dependent changes in the native organization and orientation of microtubules and actin filaments, which is the cause of our changes in growth and morphology of the root roots of Arabidopsis thaliana.
