The hardness of the quasicrystalline coating manufactured by the optimized technology was 9.1 GPa. The coefficient of thermal conductivity of Al-Cu-Fe quasicrystals in the temperature range of 40 - 600 C was determined. The visit of scientists from the Beijing Institute of Aeronautical Materials (PRC) to the IPMS NAS of Ukraine took place during the project. The results obtained during the implementation of the project were discussed on the scientific workshop.
