Natural studies of defects of asphalt concrete covering on metal and reinforced concrete bridges, which arose under the influence of vehicles, were conducted. The laboratory tests of the materials of the construction of the pavement cover and the analysis of their results are performed. The methodology of calculating the asphalt concrete coating on crack resistance from the effect of transport has been established. The principle of designing the grain composition of asphalt concrete of increased durability with optimization by the indicator of the estimated service life of asphalt concrete covering on road bridges has been developed.
