The aim of the work is the development of theoretical and practical fundamentals of a technologically simple, low-cost, flexible process control synthesis of CdS and CdSe thin films for the production of thin-film photosensitive solar cell elements. Investigations methods - a semiempirical method of convergence of the reaction system to a minimum of energy in quantum-chemical modeling in the environment "MOPAC 2012"; methods of hydrochemical synthesis of CdS and CdSe films, solid solutions and structures based on them; X-ray diffraction to study the structure of films, optical and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy to determine the optical characteristics and elemental composition; scanning electron and atomic force microscopy to study the surface morphology, profilometry and inversion voltammetry for measuring the thickness of films, molecular absorption analysis methods for kinetic studies. Тhe boundary conditions for the formation of low-soluble forms of CdS and CdSe without Cd(OH)2 impurities using 11 complexing reagents were calculated, which allowed to propose a reasonable choice of the composition of the reaction systems. Intermediate stages and geometrical parameters of molecules were established in the synthesis of CdS thin films in the systems "Cd2+ - C6H5O73- N2H4CS" and "Cd2+ - NH3 - N2H4CS" and CdSe in the systems "Cd2+ - SeSO32-" and "Cd2+ - SeSO32- C6H5O73-". CdS and CdSe films were synthesized and their properties were investigated. The activation energies of the synthesis of CdS films were experimentally determined. A method is proposed for increasing the adhesion of CdSe films to a glass substrate through the formation of a CdSxSe1-x solid solution. The optimal conditions for chemical surface deposition of CdS and CdSe films, which by their parameters fully meet the requirements for use in solar cells, were established. A method for the synthesis of HgSe films (atomic ratio Hg: Se = 49.90: 50.10) of a cubic modification using Na2S2O3 as a complexing agent has been developed. Film solid solutions CdxZn1-xS and ZnSxSe1-x, binary double structures CdSe/CdS, CdS/CdSe were synthesized. ZnSe films were obtained without forced orientation to the substrate material, which can be separated from the surface.
