The object of the study is surface water of agricultural purpose. The aim of the work was to detect and determine levels of contamination on the content of nitrates, the content of residual quantities of pesticides (DDT, HCCH and 2.4-D) and the content of heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu) in surface water of agricultural purpose. The research was carried out in accordance with DSTU, GOST, MU, DSAN PIN and other guidelines. In the process of research, photoelectrocolorimeters, gas chromatographs, flame photometers, spectrophotometers, ionomers, Keldall apparatus, weights, and the like were used. The main task in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of March 30, 1998, No. 391 "On Approval of the Regulation on the State System for Environmental Monitoring" is to determine the qualitative state of water and the basis for taking measures to improve it, if necessary.
