A comprehensive study of the current state and prospects of e-trade development has been conducted. The peculiarity of the theoretical methods application in the study of functioning mechanisms of the e-trade market is considered. A model of transaction costs in e-trade for the consumers of different categories of territorial urbanization in two channels of goods distribution is developed. The system of indicators of e-trade has been improved through a combination of infrastructure and economic indicators. A model of advertising costs in the e-commerce market is developed. The model of the functioning of the e-trade market is developed, with the simultaneous presence of firms with economic strategies on the volume of production and firms with price strategy.
