The purpose of the second stage of the implementation of the scientific and technological revolution is the preparation of design documentation for the VSAT terminal, the manufacture and installation of a prototype VSAT satellite communication terminal, as well as the execution of preliminary tests of individual terminal nodes. Telecommunication equipment of the terminal will be located inside the protective dome. The protective dome has an axisymmetric shape and contains a sector with an angular size of 90 degr., made of radio transparent material to ensure minimal signal loss. The rest of the surface of the dome is made of a material with large losses. A prototype VSAT terminal allows for high-speed connection of a user via a two-way radio channel via an onboard satellite repeater, which is placed on the geostationary orbit to the Internet when the VSAT terminal is located near the border of the satellite service area and is exposed to significant wind loads and other climatic conditions and meteorological factors.
