The aim of the work is to investigate the influence of different irrigation methods (drip and sprinkling) under the conditions of using different-quality irrigation water of the Ingulets and Kakhovka irrigation systems on the formation of new adaptive intensive type of corn hybrids of various FAO groups in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine, which will ensure the effective use of irrigation systems and irrigation water , increasing the yield and quality of grain, will increase the profitability of production. Research method: - field experience with a complex of laboratory and field analytical studies. According to the hydrochemical composition, the water of the Kakhovskaya irrigation system is predominantly hydrocarbonate, calcium with a high content of magnesium. According to the assessment of water quality, according to agronomical indicators, it is assessed as being limitedly suitable for irrigation because of the danger of alkalization of the soil - water of class I. Water quality indicators of the Ingulets irrigation system were relatively stable throughout the irrigation period and were responsible for class II agronomic indicators as per GOST 2730-94; on environmental indicators of class I according to GNI 33-5.5-02-97. That is, irrigation water is suitable for irrigation of all agricultural crops.
