The purpose of the work is to determine the peculiarities of forming the productive potential of winter and spring grains depending on the norms, types and terms of mineral fertilizer application. The technology of cultivating grain crops for the zone of Western Polissya of Ukraine has been improved. New technological elements are proposed: winter wheat fertilization system, which involves the introduction of N15Р60К60 under pre-sowing cultivation + N70 (Кarbamide ammonia mixture) ealy-spring renewol of vegetation I stage of organogenesis + N40 (Кarbamide ammonia mixture) ІV stage + HELPROST 3 kg / ha X stage of organogenesis; Fertilizer system of spring crops consists in the application of P60K60 under pre-sowing cultivation + N 50 (Кarbamide ammonia mixture) III stage + N 30 (cash) output into the tube + HELPROST 2 3 l / ha (stage X); Grain crop protection system includes seed dressing with Vitawax (3.0 l / t), Grenadier herbicide (25 g / ha), Amistar Extra fungicide (1.2 l / ha), and Bio-58 insecticide (3 l / Ha). The technology provides the yield of winter wheat - 5.70 t / ha, winter triticale - 7.24 t / ha; Triticale of spring - 5.22 t / ha, oats - 4.70 t / ha. Indicators of economic efficiency: winter wheat - conditionally net profit of 15.2 thousand UAH, profitability level - 125.3%; the triticale of winter - conditionally net profit 18267 UAH, profitability level - 142,0%; triticale yar - conditionally net profit - 10600 UAH / ha, profitability level - 89,5%; oats - conditionally net profit - 7424 UAH / ha; profitability - 62.7%.
