Recombinant human sHB-EGF and a number of its derivatives have been obtained. The effect of sHB-EGF on the functional state and activity of various types of model cells of the immune system, as well as the value of the heparin-binding domain for the interaction of sHB-EGF with these cells were investigated. Changes in the expression of proHB-EGF on the surface of model cells of the human and mouse immune system during their functional activation, depending on various factors, have been detected. The probable HB-EGF ligands - EGFR (in A431 cells) and thrombosporin-4 (in U937 cells) have been identified. The obtained data promote the expansion of fundamental ideas about the role of growth factors in the functioning of cells of the immune system and the creation of new means of immune correction and immunotherapy. The proposed equations allow to more accurately determine the affinity constant of divalent antibodies and polyreactive immunoglobulins (PRIG) in the experiment and test the sample for the presence of antibodies with different affinity in it. It has been shown that intact serum PRIG and PRIG, obtained artificially by the transformation of monoclonal antibodies, do not differ in the mechanism of interaction with antigens. It has been shown that PRIGs have significantly higher avidity than highly specific monoclonal antibodies. Revealed regularities that indicate the important biological role of PRIG as one of immune system components, which varies with age.
